Ingredient spotlight
A Chinese medicine immunity trio
Grass-fed beef bones, ginger, spring onion, shiitake
No nasties. No artificial additives.

Ginger
The body's first responder. Warming, circulating, settling the stomach before anything gets worse. Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and the herb Chinese medicine reaches for the moment something feels off.

Spring onion
In Chinese medicine, this is what you take at the very first sign to catch it early, whilst Quercetin and allicin do the antimicrobial work.

Shiitake
Where ginger and spring onion meet things at the surface, shiitake goes deeper. Beta-glucans switch on the immune system's own defences. In Chinese medicine it feeds the digestive root that all resilience grows from, and it's rich in the folate, zinc and iron pregnancy quietly depletes.

Grass-fed beef bones
36 hours, and this is where it all begins. Collagen and gelatine rebuild the gut lining, where most of your immunity lives, while glycine, iron and calcium do the slower work of tissue repair, sleep and ageing well. Chinese medicine calls this tonifying jing: the deepest reserve, the one everything else draws from.

The morning cup
Warm gently and sip slowly before breakfast, especially on travel or training days.
As a cooking base
The best noodle-bowl broth you'll make: add greens, soft egg and a spoon of miso. For best results, add at the end. Never boil the broth to preserve collagen and nutrients.
When you feel it coming on
Two cups a day at the first sign of a flu, with extra fresh ginger grated in.
